My Journey into Digital Marketing
Ever since I was young, I've had a passion for visual creativity and storytelling. In school, I studied graphic design and quickly realized I enjoyed developing brand identities and unique visual styles. After graduating, I worked in a design agency and enjoyed the creative problem-solving of crafting logos, websites, and marketing materials for clients.
However, a few years in, I started to become interested in exploring how brands could connect with customers through digital channels beyond just traditional design work. In my spare time, I dove into self-educating about topics like search engine optimization, social media, analytics and more. It was fascinating to see how all these different online tools worked together synergistically to drive traffic and leads for companies.
I realized this merged my interests in design, communications, and strategy. I wanted to specialize in this new, exciting area rather than just graphic design alone. That's when I made the decision to transition my career fully into digital marketing.
Getting Started in Digital Marketing
My first real role in this new field was helping small, local businesses develop basic marketing plans and manage their social media profiles. While I enjoyed the client interactions, I knew I wanted to gain deeper expertise in certain areas.
